Grades K-3 : Pin Guard
This game can help students develop their hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills.
HOW TO PLAY
- Students will divide into two sections, each on opposite sides of the hula hoops in the middle of the play area. Bowling pins will be placed inside the hula hoops.
- There will be 2 roles: the THROWER and the GUARD.
- The THROWERS will have to stay behind the designated line and try to knock down the pins with a dodgeball.
- The GUARDS have to stay around the hula hoops, not inside, and try to block the dodgeballs from knocking over their pins.
- The guard must try to block the dodgeball with their hands or any other part of their body, without crossing the hula hoop boundary. They cannot pick up the dodgeball.
- If a guard’s pin is knocked over, they switch roles with the thrower who knocked the pin over.
DEMONSTRATION:
SAFETY MEASURES
- Students should always aim for the bowling pins and avoid throwing the dodgeball at other students.
- Students should stay behind the designated throwing line and avoid stepping over it.
- Students should not run or jump over the hula hoops, as this can lead to tripping and injury.
- Students should report any injuries or safety concerns to the teacher or supervisor immediately.
