Talk is Still Talk, Without Action!

Maybe I am just meeting the wrong people. Maybe this is just what it is to be human, but so many people I seem to meet have a disconnect between what they say, and what actually unfolds into reality. The amount talk about plans, “What I am going to do,” or “what I believe,” — only then to result in a 360 degree turn about or zero action from people drives me utter nuts. I have in fact stopped listening to people. My response is a simple one, “That’s great, show me!”
People’s lives are so complicated. But it is their stories that make their life complicated. I don’t believe life needs to be complicated, if you actually do what you say you going to do. Life then is simply uncomplicated. Action is always the remedy for ambiguity. Even if the action is wrong, at least you will know for real, and as such, not living in the fictional space of the mind, you can change that action to see if the outcome is different.
And this is the crux of the matter. There is a perception as one person noted to me, “The sad part of it all Rodney is we create our own problems in our mind. We set our selves up for disaster stress and so forth. People must realise the mind is power and what you think and believe so it shall be.”
As far as I am concerned, ‘thinking’ is always still just that: thinking.
Regardless if that ‘thinking’ is the right thing to believe or not. In fact, what you might think is right, might be in fact wrong. Spend any amount of time with your mind, and you begin to realise it’s not to be trusted.
So, at least for myself, this is how I deal with it: Test it. Test everything you believe to be important, to be of value, that you feel will inspire you to grow as a human being. In the end, the mind actually has ZERO power. What you think, or what you believe doesn’t manifest at all without action. Take it out of your ‘mind’ into the action of the world, you will be far more happier and fulfilled. At least this is what I have found.
