I disagree with one of your primary premises, that there is no narrative. You seem to also indicate this is some type of media game, but if it is, aren’t you also joining in the game?

I am not an expert at law enforcement, but my understanding is one method to help avoid crimes is to look for commonality within crime data.

Even if Islamic-motivated attacks and killings are not connected by a central, controlling Islamic group, the motivation behind the attacks is the same: Kill people who do not share their radical Islamic beliefs.

Therefore “the narrative” has value for law enforcement actions, which are intended to protect the innocent, vulnerable public.

In contrast, avoiding “the narrative” increases the risk of harm to the public. That is irresponsible, illogical, and unacceptable.

Why is it uncomfortable for you to have people report the fact that the killers or criminals hurting innocent people are motivated by their radical Islamic beliefs? Why should this fact be hidden?
