HyperSpeed Health Technologies: A Case Study

Upon discussing these tools, it’s pivotal to elaborate on what my company, HyperSpeed Health Technologies, achieves. We’ve engineered a digital health system that ingests data from a risk assessment to learn about an individual’s lifestyle, physical fitness, workout habits, medical history, and athletic background, along with the impact of work on their life, stress, and anxiety. This rich tapestry of information forms the backbone of their profile.

As we ingest various health data sources, like body composition analysis from the InBody device — a medical-grade tool overflowing with information about one’s physical composition — we begin to unravel the impact of life on one’s physical body. We also gather biometric data such as heart rate, calories burned, average sleep hours, and step count, particularly from those who use wearables or undergo our services like blood pressure testing.

Our collaboration with Spike through their API is a keystone, enabling us to weave this disparate data into our system. Similarly, our alliance with OpenAI helps contextualize this data. We measure and score each metric, relative to age and gender, and generate reports that help individuals understand their health, highlighting positives, risks, and actionable steps for improvement.

We’re not just limited to these data points; our system is adept at customizing solutions for diverse groups. From youth military camps to high school basketball teams and the over-40 population in the Vegas metro area, our system adapts and evolves. One of our system’s novel capabilities is tagging individuals based on their metrics, particularly useful in workplace settings for identifying varied health and performance statuses.

This system, born out of my experiences as a health professional and what I term a ‘burnout football coach’, is the culmination of years of expertise and relentless innovation. From my days as an athlete to my explorations in private sector wellness and software, each step was about converging data and technology to fulfill a vision. The advent of tools like OpenAI and companies like Spike during our development phase was serendipitous, amplifying our capabilities.

When Whoop integrated OpenAI into their software, it was a disruptive moment in the fitness tracker industry, offering personalized insights and AI-driven coaching. This integration initially unsettled me, making me question the uniqueness of our system. However, I soon realized that while tools like Whoop are integral to the puzzle, our approach — assessing groups, connecting various data sources, and using data to narrate health stories — remains distinctive.

Our philosophy extends beyond being a mere wearable competitor. We aim to solve specific problems for groups, whether they’re employee groups, sports teams, or older populations with common conditions. Our system’s strength lies in its ability to integrate various data sets and partner with different coaching apps and wearable companies to build foundational health profiles.

As for Whoop, my recent personal experience with their device has been transformative. It’s equipped me with insights I’ve never encountered before, reinforcing my belief in the power of AI and wearable technology in health and wellness.
