It seems you put supporters of Clinton and Obama trade policy inside the circle of those to be “renounced” on the grounds of supporting a “free market,” which I have opinions about that you can guess based on the beginning of this sentence, but luckily those are mostly irrelevant to land use regulation and housing.

I would love to talk more, but I really think that the way you frame the discussion is a red herring. A “free market” is, to be honest, barely a coherent concept, especially in land use, and indeed I don’t recall (though I could’ve missed it) anyone using that term, even generically, let alone as a definitive description of any policy prescriptions.
