I have known Mitchell Cobert since 1989. When I met him he was a Partner at a Morristown Law Firm whose practice was devoted to protecting individuals from securities fraud. A couple years later he started his own practice so he could continue representing his clients and be close to home giving him the opportunity to attend functions with his children as they grew up. He did not accept every client who walked in the door, but who could? He selected his cases/clients by whom he thought was truly wronged and who truly needed his help. He inspires me the way he conducts his practice by meeting and speaking with everyone who contacts him. I can vouch for this because not only is he my boss, but my friend.

Mitchell has always worked hard and gives every opportunity or position 100%. He is devoted to his family, friends and faith. After high school he worked part time and put himself through college, participated in rally’s in Washington, served in the military for 5 years and was an Assistant Attorney General in New York. In 1982 he and his family moved to Morristown and his children attended public schools in the district. He has always been active in the community. Mitchell has been an officer and/or board member with many organizations. If Mitchell can find a way to help, educate or assist another, he will find a way.

Over the 29 years working for him, we would always discuss politics but he never ran for office. Last year, when individuals were being offended by politicians and decisions being made not in the best interests of our county, he felt the need to use his personal and professional experience to work for everyone in New Jersey.

This year, I became keenly aware of the direct consequences of both parties gerrymandering our legislative districts. As I see it, the political parties have effectively transferred power from the People to the parties by diluting the power of our vote. I believe this process is unfair and the Primary should be open to the People, without undue influence from others.

He is a voice of reason and a man of integrity. His compassion for others, experience as a veteran, Assistant Attorney General, litigator and Board Member, advocate for the disabled, outstanding husband and father, and superb employer makes him the best Democratic Candidate to win the primary. If you are a registered voter in the 11th District, I urge you to use your voice and vote for Mitchell Cobert. He is eager to bring his Common Ground, Common Sense solutions to Washington.
