Create A Vendor
As an event organiser, if you want to create accounts for your vendors and allow them to check-in ticket options (only for Advanced Event) and capture visitors’ information by themselves, Vendor Tools in O-tix allows you to create and manage the vendors for your event.
On the event management dashboard, Click on ‘Event Management’, and select ‘Vendor Options’ tab in the Toolbox to view all vendor-related options.
Vendor profiles can be created in TWO ways.
1. Individual (Create Vendor)
If you don’t have many vendors to create, Individual Creation allows you to create vendors one by one. Click on ‘Create Vendor’ button to start.
Firstly, you need to enter the vendor’s email address and check if it is already in O-tix system. If this is a new email address, you can create username and profile for it; if this email address is already be taken, you are unable to change its username and will be directly to ‘Assign Events’ page to create a new profile.
On the ‘Account Details’ page, you are allowed to enter an username for this new vendor and will get a error message if the username is already been taken, so you need to enter another one.
Click on ‘Next’ to create a new vendor user profile and assign your event. Providing the vendor details such as username, first name, last name, mobile number, email address etc. You can also add an user image and company logo to the vendor profile.
Click on ‘Save User Profile’ and check the event information, and then click on the Next button to set the account password.
Click on “Create User” button to create the vendor profile. You can click on the “Create and send email” button to create the vendor and send them an invitation email through which they can access their account.
Note: The email is sent automatically from O-Tix.
2. Bulk Import (Import Vendor)
Bulk Import is a fast way if you have many vendors to add into the system. On the dashboard, click on ‘Import Vendor’ button to start a bulk import.
Download the vendor import template by clicking on the download template button.
Then read the instruction, fill in the form and save it as a csv file.
Drag the file in to the below area, or click on the ‘Add file’ button to upload the csv file.
Upload Queue allows you to manage and review your bulk imports. Click on “Upload” in the Upload Queue section to review and add the vendors.
Click on ‘Continue’ to go to the next stage. Alternatively, you can select the Continue and send Welcome Email button to invite the vendors to access their accounts.
Note: the uploader will highlight missing or existing data with a red cell. In this instance, please correct any omissions or errors and re-submit the file.
