Switch Keyboard Language to English, Chinese and Japanese

In this post I want to show you how you can quickly switch your keyboard input between three different languages in three steps.

Secondly, open Karabiner, and navigate to the “Complex Modifications” tab. Click on “Add rule”, then click on the “Import more rules” button. This action will open a page in your default browser. On that page, use the search bar, and type “for Japanese” to narrow down the list.

Thirdly, Import the option that reads “switch English, Chinese, Japanese” and click on the Import button to the right hand side. This action switches back to Karabiner where you now have the option to enable the imported command. Click on Enable for the rule you just imported.

That’s it, you can switch quickly between English, Chinese, Japanese (Hiragana) and Japanese (Katakana) simply by holding the Option key and pressing 1 for English, 2 for Chinese, 3 for Japanese (Hiragana) and 4 for Japanese (Katakana).
