Emergency Response Support from CodeRGV
Help is Here for South Texas using our COW for those who need to communicate.

With the upcoming hurricane Harvey approaching the shoreline of the state of Texas, we realize that there are many communities, municipalities, and people that are going to face a complicated time over the next few weeks.
As a group of technologists and dedicated nerds we like to continuously think about the things that we can do to provide our community with technology resources that they might not otherwise have. Whether that’s people, employees, or the ability to simply communicate, we pride ourselves in being able to help when needed and where needed.
In an effort to make sure that people have the connectivity they need, we want to let everyone in the path and affected areas of Hurricane Harvey to know that we’re here to support you.
We will make our COW, our classroom on wheels, available to anyone who needs it in the event of damage to the telecommunications and Internet connectivity infrastructure because of the hurricane.
Our cow is outfitted with 20 laptops, a high-speed wireless connection, and ample room to send an email to your family, start a video chat, or just check in to let someone know that you’re OK.
In addition, we realize that some communities don’t have access to emergency response vehicles, so we would like to make our COW available to the counties and municipalities that may need it.
If you know of someone that will be in need, or if you can think of a way that we can help, please email info@codergv.org or call us at 956 410 CODE
