I couldn’t agree more. I stared housing smartphones since Windows Mobile 5. My notifications have been disabled for more than a decade and my phone bows to me, not the other way around.

Sadly I’m fighting an ever growing resistance at work. It’s now commonly expected to be always reachable. But then how am I supposed to get work done? I’m a software engineer, I need to focus, but at the same time I’m expected to always be on slack.

It’s refreshing to see, that I’m not the only one fighting for silence.
