Explorer Cold Brew, which was founded in 2020 by Cason Crane, an adventurer and mountain climber who has summited Mount Everest and the Seven Summits. He was motivated to produce a versatile and convenient coffee drink with multiple caffeine options when stuck in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. Crane developed the proprietary concentrates in collaboration with three international award-winning coffee experts and tastemakers, utilizing 100 percent organic, specialty-grade, fair-trade beans sourced from Ethiopia and Peru.

Its a first-of-its-kind cold-brewed “super concentrate” that comes in four caffeine levels, ranging from Swiss Water Processed decaf (99.9% caffeine free) to extremely caffeinated (300 mg/serving).

So what is a cold brew concentrate?

A condensed version of cold brew, cold brew concentrate is exactly what it sounds like. It’s more concentrated than a cup of cold brew coffee from a coffee shop, and it’s meant to be diluted with milk or water. As a result, cold brew concentrate is extremely customisable. You can change the taste and caffeine concentration of each sip of your drink by adjusting the quantity of dilution.

Explorer Cold Brew takes things a step further: not only can you buy their cold brew concentrate in its original concentration, but it also comes in a starting pack with four different caffeine levels, ranging from decaf to extra-caffeinated. Not only is this a terrific opportunity to try out different caffeine levels and see which one suits you best, but I also liked the starting pack because it allowed me to use the usual concentration for my morning coffee and switch to the lower caffeine or decaf version for my afternoon coffee. It was also quite simple to put together, mix the 2-ounce bottle with your milk or water in a one-to-four ratio.

Explorer’s signature product is a 32-ounce cold brew concentrate that is available in all four caffeine levels. It has the capacity to prepare up to 20 cups of coffee. The taste of Explorer’s cold brew is rich and slightly sweet, they actually add French Chicory to many of the blends of their concentrate. The beans in Explorer’s coffees are grown on high-altitude plantations in Ethiopia, which is often regarded as the home of coffee. Explorer works with farming collectives (basically farmer’s unions) to ensure that they acquire the best beans, cultivated and harvested responsibly.

There are numerous packs and different varieties to chose from, you can even add your own concoctions such as syrup, almond milk, sweeteners or liquid creamer, it’s up to you. Please check out their products available on their website affiliate link here.

I hope you find this coffee a new addition to your daily coffee requirements.
