Later on, this created interest prevailed upon him to study in one of the most economically significant cities in Asia for two semesters, in Hong Kong. Previously, he worked as a working student for SAP, the biggest software company in Europe, gave tutor lessons in German abroad as well as worked through the night in the factories of the Daimler AG. Jannis is very passionate about discovering new cultures and environments all over the world, kickboxing wherefore he tried himself in the famous Muay Thai here in Bangkok and facing new challenges, which brought him to choose to do an internship at coins.co.th. In his point of view, cryptocurrencies as well as Blockchain technology have a big potential in the global economy in the future, for the better.

After working for big companies like SAP and the Daimler AG, and studying in a big university in Germany, I decided to go to a rather small university or my exchange in Hong Kong in order to experience a less anonymous environment this time. For that reason, I found myself on the quite easy to grasp campus of the Hong Kong Baptist University later on. I felt comfortable living there, so I tried to get an internship in a start-up, where I could see more than just one part of a big department of an even bigger company. Coins offered me the most interesting offer with a promising sounding concept and a young and motivated team. It seemed to be more than just doing assisting tasks without bearing any responsibility, which eventually turned out to be true. In addition, the work really seemed meaningful as it literally increases people’s welfare by lowering the transaction costs for international transfers. I was very aware of this issue after seeing the big amount of southeast Asian helpers working in Hong Kong who pay enormous sums every year to send their money home to their families.
Now I can proudly say that I learned much more than expected during the past three months. The close cooperation within the team, the flat hierarchy in the whole company and the good working climate was entirely different from my former working experiences. As an Operations and Customer Support intern, I learned to meet new challenges every day, I got to know a lot more about Blockchain technology, trading along with technical and fundamental analysis and organizing myself in my team in order to increase the consolidated productivity.
All in all, I am very happy that I took the opportunity to be an intern at coins.co.th. I gained a lot of new experiences and was able to improve my skills in trading and teamwork to a big extent. Having said that, I want to thank coins.co.th, especially my team, for making this time in Bangkok so great with so many valuable experiences and memories for me.
