Ben, thank you for this great write up. The research is stunning and backs up what many of us see on a daily basis. While your article talks directly to young men in important ways, I think we, as a society, fail when we do not support their fathers to do better. Camille Paglia said “A woman simply is, but a man must become. Masculinity is risky and elusive… and it confirmed only by other men.” I believe there is a lot of truth in that statement. As men, we need to do better in building our sons into good men and setting good examples for other young men who look to us for guidance. Thanks for helping to put this important idea forward!
