I mean, it’s still better than NCS.

This week, Twitch unveiled Soundtrack, a new program allowing rightsholders to license their music to be used on Twitch only — remember that — and allowing creators to use that music on their streams on Twitch.

How it actually works

You’ve probably seen Twitch’s article about how Soundtrack by Twitch lets you “stream worry free” and that it’s a “rights cleared music tool designed for Twitch creators” but how does it actually work?

Soundtrack for Twitch only works on OBS, Streamlabs OBS, and Twitch Studio. When you download the application to your computer, it installs a plugin into your broadcasting software that remaps the…

Time to play some Drake songs on stream without getting a strike

Facebook Gaming just made a move that could potentially change the entire streaming industry for the better. The platform just signed deals with massive music companies like UMG, WMG and so many more — granting their partners (with plans to expand to creators in their “Level Up Program”) permission to stream music owned by these companies — the kind of music people would actually want to listen to, including names as big as Travis Scott.

This article talks about the history of copyright in the music industry, and how its gone from simply taking down content to monetizing infringing content…

Crazy to see that tweet, right? 1 year ago last month, Ninja signed an exclusive deal to Mixer — Microsoft’s own streaming platform — starting a chain reaction and a massive change to the streaming industry and gaming in general. Platforms began signing their streamers to keep them on their platform or to move others to their platforms for “life changing” sums of money, according to Pokimane and eSports leaker “Slasher” reported that Ninja was paid around $30 million dollars after Mixer bought Ninja and Shroud out of their contracts after the platform’s closure announcement in late June.

Today is an interesting day. The popular multiplayer game, Fortnite, has been blocked from the Apple’s iOS App Store and later, Android’s Google Play Store, after it’s developer, Epic Games, pushed out an update allowing its users to purchase it’s in-game currency, V-Bucks, at a discounted price by purchasing it directly through Epic Games, rather than Apple and Google’s “In-App Purchases” and shortly after, filing a lawsuit against both companies. But why would Fortnite want to bypass the App Store’s payment option? Isn’t going through the App Store safer and securer than directly purchasing?

Why do companies try to evade stores’ In-App Purchases?

Both Google and Apple have similar…

Welcome everyone to the new Xythereon Minecraft server! Man, it’s been awhile since we’ve had one of these…

We are excited to have you here, and we’re excited to announce that we have a bedrock server in testing at this time. We hope to expand to our bedrock friends and give everyone the true Xythereon community experience, no matter the platform.

  • We fixed a bug with the /back command preventing players…

Regarding streams resuming, family fund, YouTube and more

I hope everyone is doing well! COVID-19 has been pushing us to our limits and has brought out the best and worst in some people. I hope everyone is safe and happy and enjoying the time they have at home.

I’d like to quickly apologize for being M.I.A. on my Twitch channel but I can assure you that I am back and here to stay!

I’ve been working on revamping my panels and I’m excited to come back! My first official stream back will be THIS SATURDAY at 11am Central Time

I wanna start working harder with the extra time…

The Illinois State Board of Education is now requiring all schools to take attendance and report absent students to them, effective immediately.

As many school districts begin approaching the close of the school year, please note that attendance data should be submitted to ISBE in the same manner as prior to Remote Learning Days, via the Student Information System.

This means you can now be reported absent if you do not join your Zoom calls (and repeated absences can label you truant — as done in normal school)

If schools cannot ensure student attendance through supportive measures, it is recommended…
