You’re Not a Fraction

You’re not a fraction looking for another fraction. You’re complete: look for the same.
This is a really fundamental idea with all kinds of positive consequences if you can keep it in mind.
It allows you, first and foremost, to recall your own value and that you don’t need anyone else to make you ‘whole.’ You’re already there. Done. You have the power to be and become whomever you want.
Beyond that, it helps us remember that anyone else we bring into our lives are wonderful extras — people we can enjoy for who they are, not for who we want them to be based on the myth that we’re not enough already, not complete.
And finally, it reminds us that, as complete people, we should look for the same. Should look for others who are aware that they, too, don’t require us to exist, don’t need us to complete them, and as such can enjoy us on the level that we enjoy them: as people we choose to be around and have in our lives, rather than people we need as some kind of crutch.
