I personally don’t mind the new, more playful insider program. Depending on who’s in charge the content changes and I think that’s awesome!
However, what really needs to be taken care of is the type of people who are actually entering the insider program. When I first joined the Insider Program for the Windows Phone 10 (Yeah, that old!) build 10051, the only people there were serious people give huge amounts of useful feedback. Even my feedback which was to bring one handed mode to every phone was listened to! We also had some push back like when we wanted to kill the hamburger button and Microsoft refused (they did give us a reason though). Then it all started going downhill will the RS1 builds, the amount of people who flooded the feedback hub with feedback lilke “Give us a YouTube app” and “Clash Of Clans Wen?” which got way more upvotes than a bug in the settings which crashed whenever you try to change your data usage settings”.
The useful feedback is being overshadowed by the useful stuff and it’s pretty annoying. Even today it’s so hard for something useful to get popular anymore. Thank God they are attempting to fix the store app though!
