Thank you, thank you, thank you. I completely agree. What matters most to me, especially at the startup level, is that the code works, it’s used to discover and provide value, and it’s easy to develop on.
This bumps up a little into another topic, which is that most devs seem afraid to throw code out and do rewrites. The way I see it, tech moves too fast, and abstractions never hold up on the first couple of tries, to become married to a bit of code for any great length of time.
