COVID-19 support resources | Lark video meetings for distance teaching and learning
As we mentioned before, Lark is one of the distance learning solutions to mitigate the effects of school closures due to the spread of the new coronavirus. Currently available free of charge, Lark offers video meetings that support up to 100 participants and can be livestreamed to reach millions of people. Participants can easily share their screen and record meetings. Here I will show you how Lark video meetings works for teachers and students.
Share and collaborate in a class
To help students follow along, you can share your screen or a specific window in a meeting. You can also share Docs so students can leave comments and even co-edit it at the same time. Features such ascreating a poll are also available. Students can also share their screen and Docs to present their work.
Small group discussions
Before class, you can create different group chats and divide students into different groups. They can also assign group leaders in advance. During class, instructors can facilitate group discussions in different group chats and encourage all group members to participate and contribute.
Livestream a lecture
Seminars, webinars, and training sessions can all be livestreamed to reach millions of people. Once the host starts livestreaming, students can open the livestream link in a web browser on their computer or phone, and watch the livestream. You can even generate a livestream link before an event starts and share it with students in advance.
Record a lecture
Lectures can be recorded so students can easily review them after class. You can also prepare recordings in advance to help students prepare before or outside of class.
