I used to believe everyone committed suicide.

I know I already replied to this but I had to share one more thing I believed as a kid because its hilarious. When a family friend became pregnant, my Mom tried to explain to me how babies were made in the most simple terms possible because I was too young for “the talk.” She told me that the woman’s husband helps her have the baby by fertilizing one of her eggs. I had a completely different idea of what this meant. Since I saw my Dad fertilizing our grass on the weekends, I thought that same fertilizer was used to make a baby. So I had a very literal picture in my mind of a man spraying grass fertilizer on a woman’s belly, fertilizing one of her eggs and getting her pregnant.
