Sheepskin coat is a practical thing , warm , but , unfortunately , easily soiled. On it , spots , greasy cuffs or pockets are almost always noticeable . In addition, after a long stay in the closet, she becomes dusty and loses sight. Dry cleaning is expensive for many people , so you can risk cleaning yourself. We talk about the 5 most effective ways.

First, decide what type of sheepskin coat you need to clean.

  • Suede sheepskin coat — dry processing only
  • Skin — dry and wet cleaning, products can be wetted
  • Laser-treated sheepskin coat — both dry and wet cleaning are acceptable.

Salt for small impurities

You will need: salt, rubber brush for suede

To renew the suede sheepskin coat and remove small spots, it can be cleaned with ordinary salt.

Apply a layer of salt on the stain, and then wipe with your hands with gentle movements, being careful not to rub too hard. After that, treat the sheepskin coat with a clean rubber suede brush.

It is better not to get involved in salt, it still can not cope with severe pollution, but the surface can become rough and uneven.

Grease stained gasoline

Needed: gasoline, coarse cloth flap

Dampen a small piece of cloth in gasoline, which is sold for refueling lighters, and wipe the surface of the sheepskin coat with it. This method should first be tested in an inconspicuous area to make sure that gasoline does not spoil the product and does not damage the paint.

If the sheepskin coat is light, gasoline is not recommended.

Tooth powder from greasy areas

Needed: Tooth powder, ammonia

Greased cuffs, collar, pockets and the area around the zipper can be cleaned with tooth powder or baby powder. Brush stains with stiff bristles, and then use a mixture of tooth powder and ammonia.

Semolina and starch from fresh greasy stains

You will need: Cloth gloves, semolina, starch

Put fabric gloves on your hands first. Generously sprinkle with grain or starch the contaminated places of the sheepskin coat, and then wipe them with your hands trying not to act too actively. After cleaning, thoroughly clean the surface of the product with a stiff bristle brush.

Semolina can be cleaned and light fur on a sheepskin coat.

Soda and milk for greasy stains

You will need: baking soda, milk, vinegar, water, cotton pads

Mix 1 teaspoon of soda and a glass of milk. Put the pulp on the stain and rub it in a circular motion with a cotton pad. After that, clean the surface with a weak solution of vinegar with water (1 hl per 1 l of water).
