Goddess

She sat up in that tree watching us
I couldn’t say why but I love her
Maybe the delicacy of her gaze
Like a warm summer breeze
Or the light petal of a petite flower
Her eyes each resembling great moons
The depth of their crystalline opulence commanding the waves of the ocean
Her lips simple and delicate
Set in an ever so slight smile that always grew upon her face when she saw us out in the village
One day I wish to go see her up in that tree
To touch her silk skin
To caress her soft face
One day I’ll look into those eyes
So deep I’ll get lost in them for days
And when I navigate my way out
I’ll sit next to her and observe the village as she does
See the people as she sees them.
Love the world as she loves it
