Women do not need a special platform, they need honesty and hard work. Most women(and men too) I know work hard but are they honest?, sadly , no. They are least honest with themselves and because of that rationalize behavoir that is not only self destructive but destructive to others. I admit, it is very hard to find an honest anyone but the women in my life are so good at rationalizing. I know when I rationalize it is my emotional self at work and I am in real trouble. I now listen and when logic and common sense take a back seat to questionable behavior, I run or I make preparations to do so. And note, this is not only about women but too many of my male peers give women a pass for it. It just does not work. April, you can build an immense logic tree based a rationalized premise….and all you have is an emotional response that does no one any good. TV/Film production is a nasty business(sorry Tom Nast) but there are honest people. Seek them out, be one and stop genderizing greed, I know you work very hard long hours. Been there, done that. Just never be afraid to logically call the other person out, but do it with finesse in a non threatening manner-in the style of General Semantics. You’ll be glad you did and even more people will approach you with thanks for being the person you are.
