Freelancing Fraud, Translators in danger of becoming victimized with Personal Info & Labor Abuse.

Bitter but earned me joy and a lesson. Along with an Independent inquiry

“Beware of scams” The most imprudent slip committed this year, placing so much trust in what I believed to be unquestionably right.

“When you let yourself become overwhelmed by extreme floods of exasperation, You’ll Pursue “Safe-Haven or a fleeting alternative when you eventaully realise that you’re in a pair of shoes not meant for you. Sometimes it’s a bait of your greed.” — Mum —

Yeah, You’re right,

I was foolish enough to end up falling for a poorly crafted online job scam.

Nicely Done, Ma bOy!

Some of you may work as full-time bloggers or freelancers, and you’re expected to receive calls from numerous companies you’re connected with or working for. Sometimes, Given the constraints of your bustling schedule, Catching up for tea or overseas travel might not always be feasible.

Likewise, we often fantasize about the life of an aspiring freelancer as well.

You’re trudging, matter of factly, veritably sleep-deprived, right in the middle of passengers queuing up before boarding. when you notice you’re trying to ignore those ‘Happy-Happy Smiles and the subsequent overwhelmingly exhilarating vibes by pressing headphones into your ears while it does little to drown out the complicated atmosphere of Pretentiousness at the airport.-thinking to yourself; “Humph, Amateurs”

Whether or not, fantasy mocks our demand for love or Self-esteem, it’s a far different story from our lives.

I or anyone who can relate to My situation reflects the reality, or if you pay more attention in detail to your family or friends who are newly graduated and struggling to afford their own space to avoid sinking into depression, ending up disintegrating in a handbasket, saying ‘at least you wanna do something, you better not impose your family’, that’s pretty much the norm for people in their 20s in recent years.

Sometimes, repeated failures can deteriorate our situation to the point where we choose to withdraw from the world in despondency. especially when our ability to manage our education is limited.

If you’ve spent years honing a talent, regardless of your regular job or major, you want to maximize its potential as it can open doors to greater opportunities and serve as a catalyst for self-improvement. For individuals like these, freelancing can be alluring, but it’s crucial to exercise caution and thoroughly evaluate your options.

The thin edge of the wedge - this, where it all started.

I was introduced to a job-seeking website, Freelancers.com, and received an invitation from an LSP (Language Service Provider) with job listings for translators in various languages. It was quite challenging to find a suitable project that required translation into Korean, so, I accepted their offer.

I… had the gut feeling as if it was trying to warn me of the upcoming disaster. *NOT A REAL LSP
“We’re looking forward to have a ME…?” Based on S.Africa according to their post on the website, from which i have a BFF of mine, Amber, that’s exactly where my suspicion started to grow.., Poor English skills in a business setting, along with a flawed application system…

And then I was assigned to this guy or ‘supervisor’ named ‘Sylvanus’, who provided more details about his background, introduced the company he works for, and mentioned that it’s part of a growing affiliation that can guarantee yada yada… It didn’t take me long to realize that he was… pretending to be an expert but then I decided that i was just going to wing it.

He then first off from requesting Basic information. Remember, DO NOT DISCLOSE any sensitive personal information. A legitimate company does not request personal information before or without actual Interviews.
🙃 a Shoddy remote living lounge. — Affiliate writer’s hub Soon, gonna be ‘summoned’ in a brief investigation.
Every small inquiry would strangely provoke an excessively repulsive and offensive reaction from him.
So, I received the ‘confidential document’ and then it turned out to be “Love and Friendship” by Jane Austine.

In order to receive payment, there was one condition that had to be met, which was to translate a 75-page manuscript into Korean within 72 hours.

And once You’re done with your ‘Project’, there was one final hurdle remaining, which was the evaluation by the committee to determine if it met the required standards.

Which was followed by an email of approval.

The Transaction ID was proven to be FAKE as My transaction ID should be based on PayPal. The characters do not match PayPal’s signature.

Then you will receive a follow-up email in which they will ask for a deposit ranging from $100 to $700.

I aired it out with my final words.

Independent Investigation.

- Exposing fraudsters.

Do you remember how I mentioned the ‘Affiliate Writer’s hub earlier?

First, they were located in South Africa, apparently.

and later on we found out, from the fake agreement form, that they looked seemingly situated in the State of Ohio?

The day immediately following my report to customer support on freelancer.com, their fake website was found blocked. But thanks to the ‘Wayback machine’, I could trace their deceitful actions and their Filthy Death Throes to snake out of sinful liability.

Here’s what I found.

The Franklin Whatever Doesn’t Exist!! He turned out to be a famous doctor in Peru.

First, It appears that the company took photos of influential individuals and attached random names to them, creating an illusion of them working together as if they were actual employees. This was likely done to convince victims that the company is genuine rather than fake.

Those were found on Affiliatewriters.com But then I realized that there is another fraudulent associated institution that shares the exact same user interface and actively commits cybercrime. But with another group of random individuals victimized of Identity Theft. ;

Summary

Considering all this, this wasn’t a particularly enjoyable or sought-after experience where I fried up myself with so much physical and mental energy into waste at all once. and my strong affection for my creation shattered into pieces.

However, even without any opportunity to fetch my unpaid incentive, This lets me know how much further I can handle an occasion even when it’s an Imminently urgent situation that maximises every single yourself into an extreme activation. and How sincerely I could be devoted to what I’m truly loving.

Every chapter, as it develops, deepens my connection and fascination with the characters and the story since with my creativity, I compose new sentences in a different language while minimising any flaws in the firmly well-structured original texts. My immersion in the process draws me into the story itself, enabling me to convey the emotional resonance that the arrangement of words carries.

AKA; I was just really lovin’ it!
