Visualize the Data

An infographic is a more interesting and sometimes easier way to look at a set of data. For this project I decided to pick a theme that I am interested in. (As I do with most of my projects) The theme I chose was the Highest Paid Athletes for the previous year in sports. The list that I gathered could be found on both Forbes.com and Google. Forbes had a full out story for each athlete which was to much for an infographic and Google just had the names and the amounts; not enough information.

Hence the reason I chose to display the information in an easy and different way. I began with a graph and plotted the axis and the points. I then did a little photoshop work to get all of the athlete images to be consistent. I thought sizing the athletes to the height of the amount of money they earned would help with the visual experience. I then split up their sport money vs. their sponsor money on the bottom.

After researching about infographics and getting ideas on how different ones looked I felt that the style I chose was the best way to lay out the once boring data and give the viewer something to look at.
