Difference Between Primary Steel & Secondary Steel — Comaron

Primary steel is the basic material from which all other steels are made. It has a high yield strength, where as secondary steel has lower yield strength. The difference is that primary steel allows for easier forging at lower temperatures and with less distortion than secondary steel because its grain size can be much finer compared to secondary steel.
