Having Trouble with Roadrunner Email +1–760–284–5760

A lot of people have called us lately to say that their Roadrunner or SPECTRUM email accounts aren’t working. When we see issues that seem to affect more than one client, we know that the cause is usually not in your computer or network. We want to offer answers based on what we have learned so far.

Apparently, Roadrunner and SPECTRUM are migrating their email servers and are facing several problems. This change has resulted in some email users receiving problems, being unable to log in, or being unable to receive or send emails.

We’ve found the following methods to be useful:

Webmail is good. Go to https://webmail.spectrum.net/mail/auth and click on Mail in the upper right area of the screen. You can use Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or another browser. After following the steps to put in your username and password, make sure you can get into your account. If not, either your account or password is wrong. You can change your password if you can’t remember it or if it doesn’t work. You should be able to see and get to your mail if everything is right.

Contact SPECTRUM directly to restore full email functionality. Here’s how:

  1. Call SPECTRUM at +1–760–284–5760: This number connects you directly to a human representative, not an automated system. Many users have successfully resolved their issues through this line.
  2. Request a Password Reset: Ask the representative to reset your email password. Do not settle for an online reset; insist on a temporary password.
  3. Create a Permanent Password: Use the temporary password provided to set a permanent password that meets security requirements.
  4. Provide Account Details: Be prepared to give the ZIP code associated with your account.
  5. Security Questions: If you are asked security questions that you do not remember, inform the representative that they don’t work. They can generate a temporary passcode for you to enter on the SPECTRUM website.
  6. Follow Prompts: Use the temporary passcode to reset your password by following the online prompts.
  7. Update Security Questions: After resetting your password, update your security questions. Go to Profile > Sign-in Info > Change Your Security Questions. Be sure to write down the answers.
