Judge people individually and not by the color of their skin.

This is of course an accurate statement and worthy aspiration. Though, maybe the problem *IS* the judging? Certainly Alton Sterling and Philando Castile suffered from the poor judgement of others. In the face of a reality where the judgement by police officers of individuals by the color of their skin results in those people being killed — that very judgement is the source of the discernment that informed the killing — then we need to address that judgement. I hope you have been compelled to express this opinion to those whose judgement of individuals based on the color of their skin has ended the lives of those with the color in their skin.

I know you are capable of love.
