Whiteness is a construct. You chose to keep your mouth shut for a while and you chose to open it now. That is an expression of privilege. As if you have access to a white truth that now it is time for you to share.
There aren’t answers that I know of. Your declarations seem true and good in that racism is real and we must move against it. And, we must do it without abusing of those who stand stand at the business end of the whip, the noose, the gun, the rejected loan, the inadequate school…
Acting against racism requires introspection and a refutation of the unearned privilege that enabled you to keep your mouth shut until the moment when you were made to feel uncomfortable in your silence — in your whiteness — and it requires a deep compassion for ourselves as humans, as one one of many.
Maybe there is a truth in our collective but I believe no truth can be found by fighting racism while simultaneously wearing whiteness.
