ContentsDeal FAQ 3 : Exchange & Coin

The DEAL’s 3rd Pre-Sale has begun on Nov. 10th 2018!

Dear ContentsDeal supporters,
A lot of you have asked questions about the exchanges and the token ecosystem, so we thought we’d put up an FAQ to help out.

We hope this list is useful and please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are always here to help!

Q1. Which do you use when purchasing content, KST or STAR?

The key currency of ContentsDeal, blockchain content exchange, is KST. With KST, you can buy and sell limited edition of music or webtoon. STAR is a type of stable coin that can be used in real life as a pixel that holds value at a point in time.

Q2. What is the difference between KST and DEAL?

The blockchain content exchange, ContentsDeal’s key currency is KST. In other words, you can buy the contents of the ContentsDeal only with KST.

And there are two uses of DEAL.
1. DEAL holders are allowed to pre-purchase limited content provided by ContentsDeal.
2. DEAL holders are entitled to receive a fee for any fees incurred when exchanging content between users.

Q3. Is DEAL an allocation coin?

DEAL is not an allocation coin. DEAL’s compensation is provided based on the PoC (Proof of Copyright) consensus algorithm. Users can remain eligible for compensation when they contribute to the security of the platform and act as active users. An ‘active user’ refers to a user who participated in P2P content exchange, and new content exchange should be incurred at least one trade exchange within one month.

Q4. Are fees paid once a month on the assumption that you have traded more than once a month?

There may be a fandom that just wants to own the content of your favorite artist, so the clause “once a month transaction clause” is settled so that the exchange continue to activate the transaction. This is to allow more DEAL holders to access limited edition contents.

Q5. As a contribution to data protection on the white paper, it’s called rate compensation. Do DEAL holders have no benefits other than purchasing priority? Without a P2P transaction, DEAL holders seem to have no benefit.

there are two uses of DEAL.
1. DEAL holders are allowed to pre-purchase limited content provided by ContentsDeal.
2. DEAL holders are entitled to receive a fee for any fees incurred when exchanging content between users.

Q6. I would like to purchase content from the ContentsDeal Exchange, but would not it be possible if I do not have a chance to buy it because of the low DEAL holdings?

The quantity of content that DEAL holders and non-DEAL holders can purchase will be determined and circulated in advance, and if the situation arises, DEAL holders will be able to purchase content fairly. That is why there is a Foundation called ContentsDeal who is adjusting the ratio.
