It’s evident in nearly every big city. Maybe it makes you uncomfortable, maybe it makes you feel grateful for what you have, maybe you think they should ‘just get a job.’ However you feel about it, homelessness is a problem in the United States for a number of reasons, and we’re going to try to help you understand those reasons with a focus on federal legislation and how the policy conversations, as well as attitudes, have shifted through the decades.

We’re not experts on this, but we’re hoping to educate people a little bit…
