Link Resources Introduces New Silica Awareness Training Course
Link Resources pty ltd training centre is pleased to announce the debut of a new class, designed to help protect employees from the health dangers related to occupational Silica Awareness Training.

The Training course, which is available on every month was designed to increase pupils’ comprehension of silica-related health hazards and will offer some advice about the best way best to minimize these dangers at work.
Angela Bradby, CEO of Link Resources Training Centre explained the evolution of the new class is a good illustration of Link Resources continuing commitment to employee security and addresses a significant workplace hazard that lots of employers are not even conscious of.
“Many sources are calling silica the asbestos,” Angela explained. “It is not a wrong analogy, together with the Cancer Council estimating that 250 individuals can develop lung cancer each year because of exposure to silica dust on the job.”
“Silica is a lot more prevalent than many folks realize. It’s the 2nd most abundant mineral on Earth and can be found in building materials like bricks, concrete, tiles, granite and sandstone.”
“When these substances are worked (drilled, cut, smashed etc ), silica is discharged as a nice dust called respirable crystalline silica or silica dust”
“Respirable silica dust particles are 100 times bigger than a grain of sand, which means that you can breathe in without even realizing it,” Angela explained.
“The great thing is that silica related disorders are preventable and Link Resources Silica Awareness Training Courses is simply 1 step employees can take to help minimize the dangers.”
“If you, or your workers work with silica-based goods, this training course is for you.”
“There are no requirements and the course can be done 1/2 day face to face + pre-course learning. What’s more, it should only take approximately ½ Days to finish,” Angela Bradby explained.
