ConnexaHealth, new player in the healthcare IT and services arena, announces leadership team

ConnexaHealth, an experienced entrant into the healthcare technology products and services space, reveals its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Product Officer. David Bjork will take on the CEO role for ConnexaHealth and John Beck will serve as the company’s CPO. Bjork and Beck have worked the entirety of their careers in healthcare and have a combined 60 years of industry experience building and delivering health information technology.

Bjork is a healthcare executive with rich experiences in healthcare information technology, healthcare services and medical devices. He has a proven track record in healthcare business strategy, business transformation, and building sustainable operating models. David’s executive management experience includes direct responsibilities for strategic planning, business development, sales and marketing management, operations, P&L management and product development.

David is a founder of the healthcare accelerator and advisory consulting group, Commonwealth Health Advisors and a co-founder of Telcare Inc., the first mobile health diabetes management using cellular-enabled device technology to be FDA-cleared. Prior to Telcare, he served in multiple healthcare leadership positions, including founder and principal at Assabet Ventures, Senior Vice President for Medco Health Solutions, Senior Vice President for IntelliCare, Executive Vice President for ActiveHealth, and Senior Vice President at VERSYSS.

“ConnexaHealth fills a critical void in the provider segment of healthcare information technology”, says Bjork. “Providers are at the epicenter of the fast-changing healthcare landscape and technologies that support this market segment are changing and evolving more rapidly than ever before. ConnexaHealth is led and staffed with a team that understands the technologies presently in use and is highly informed of what is new and best-in class. Connexa is providing expert technical support to provider organizations as they manage and evolve their technologies to keep pace with the fast-moving industry requirements.”

Beck is a software executive with 28 years of progressive experience in the design, development and deployment of complex applications in healthcare organizations. Prior to ConnexaHealth, John served as the VP of Revenue Cycle Solutions at Allscripts, responsible for strategy, product conception, innovation, and product management for core revenue cycle solutions in both the ambulatory and acute market segments.

Notably, John led the design and development teams that built Allscripts Practice Management and the Allscripts Integration Engine which is deployed at more than 5,000 healthcare organizations. He is well respected and well connected within the industry.

“We are fortunate to have superb technical assets with deep healthcare domain expertise to apply against real challenges in healthcare organizations.” Beck continues, “Whether we are providing an IT audit and security assessment or synchronizing data in disparate systems or integrating the best-in-class patient access platforms, Connexa is effective on all fronts and able to efficiently deliver real value.”

David and John’s diverse, yet complimentary backgrounds support ConnexaHealth’s mission to be the most trusted provider of technology and expertise that connects and extends core clinical and financial systems, broadens organizational capabilities and powers transformation.
