“Hey dung beetle!”
The dung beetle got a fright and somersaulted into a ditch. He was busy rolling dung in a big round ball, he wanted to bury for his mate.
“What on earth is going on? Who’s talking to me?”
“Look up into the tree! It’s me, the Parrot. I have a message for you.”
He scared the dung beetle. The parrot looked so incredibly huge. Was he luring him into a trap? He stopped doing what he was doing, and tried to run away.
“Stop! I won’t eat you!”

We were sitting outside our house on plastic chairs and made ourselves comfortable in anticipation of the stories my grandfather was about to tell us.

We only took when we were hungry never exploiting our heritage for this is our country our ancestors lived and worked on. We could even read the night sky while talking to our forefathers. We knew…
I am an elephant and I speak for my species. We are aware that our lives are in great danger. It will not be easy for us to survive the next ten years, if poaching for our ivory, trunks and habitat loss continues unabatedly. Imagine you would be hunted for your skin or body parts and decimated to small numbers or even wiped out completely.
We are the largest land animals on earth and you may well be able to see us only in books in a few years from now, if you do not reconsider your actions. The population…

My cubs and your children would want us to be around for many more centuries to come. However, the outlook seems to be very bleak at present. We are threatened by habitat loss, conflict with humans, trophy hunting, etc. It is important that you know that we are looking after a very complex ecosystem in Africa. We, as the African lions…
