#ParisAttacks
“Two dead in Paris shooting” flashed across my screen as I walked into the kitchen. I didn’t think much of it. I made a coffee and returned to the lounge. I picked up my phone and started going through my Twitter feed. “Explosion at the Stade de France in Paris.” It quickly became apparent that I was watching a terrorist attack unfold on social media.
People started to search for loved ones. A father noted every minute that passed without news on his daughter’s whereabouts, “6 hours and 38 minutes. Still no news," he tweeted. Other people posted photos in the hope someone would recognise their relative. A name repeatedly appeared in my feed — @mariemosser. I monitored the tweets from friends trying to find her. They learned her fate today.
