Incredible, hard-hitting article John! You nailed it when you mentioned two things that are killing our romantic affairs in this day and age: options and no patience.

My first online date was with a guy in his mid-forties that absolutely refused to use his phone to call, just to text. Really? This guy should be old enough to remember how to use a phone to call a girl. Exchanging voices is STILL important.

“The internet doesn’t hack that for you.” Bravo!! Too many people are blaming online dating sites and apps for not finding suitable mates. Don’t blame the tool! Blame the immature, narcissistic fools who are abusing them.

“There’s no waste in connecting with a human.” Here! Here! I personally found it enriching to meet lots of interesting guys even though it did not lead to a relationship. We’re all the better for it!

When you described how dating used to be, I nostalgically remembered all the wonderful dates of my youth. It was so much more exciting back then!

Thank you again for this incredible work. It’s time to Save Dating!
