Thanks for this response, lots of interesting ideas tied together. Was struck most by the idea that the alt.right have created a relativistic world and then created the regressive savior of authoritarianism to fix it. Wow.

I was worried about the left’s casual embrace of relativism from my youth (70s/80s) — the old “what’s right for you isn’t what’s right for me.” It was an unsustainable position philosophically and ethically, meant to signify tolerance, portrayed by the opposition as signifying a lack of values, that is now being used (not portrayed, used) against its original perpetrators. These guys are clever as shit.
