My morning routine

This is the morning routine that I’ve recently adopted. I’ve felt more energetic and excited about the day ahead following these. Thought I’d share.

  1. Wake up at 6:40 am
  2. Roll over and kiss my wife’s (Makenzie) forehead
  3. Shower
  4. Meditate for 10–20 minutes. I use Headspace.
  5. Brew myself 1–2 cups of pour over coffee
  6. Wake Makenzie up

Afterwards is when I check email, Slack, Twitter, etc. from the night before.

Theres a feeling of accomplishment specifically after I meditate and make my wannabe fancy coffee that I’ve accomplished a little bit already that day, and building up that momentum is important for me.
