Altia unveiled the PanaCast Live, which is a portable 180-degree 4K camera that shoots at 60 frames per second. Altia partnered with Intel Sports to develop the six camera array, with each camera being 13 megapixels.

Intel Sports wants to pair the camera system with its True VR Technology. Each individual camera stitches together footage in real-time to allow for users to view it with a VR headset. Each camera

Tony Romo, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, is partnered with Intel Sports and discussed with CNET what it’s like to use the True VR system.

“They’re doing it where you can almost be in the game. If you look at the teams out there right now [pointing to the College Football Playoff championship game playing on a TV in front of us] and you’re far away, you can go right in and be that player. It almost looks like there’s a camera on that player’s head… It feels like you’re out there.”

Customers will be able to stream the live sporting events via an app on there phone and on the Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream headsets.
