
The Calm After the Storm
It seems that the crazy cosmic happenings have come to an end (apart from Mercury Retrograde which doesn’t go forward again until September 4th).
On Monday evening - the night of the solar eclipse plus new moon in Leo I had trouble sleeping (this is not like me given I have a six month old baby). I felt surges of energy rushing through my body, heart palpitations and felt high – as though I was hallucinating.
Since I was first attuned to Reiki in 2010 I have become increasingly sensitive to energies. Each further Reiki course aligned me even more to the earth and cosmic resonance.
I was in the heart of the Mayan land for the biggest shift in the planets energies for thousands of years on 21st December 2012. Once aware of these shifts – sometimes subtle, sometimes potent – I have tended to keep an eye on what’s happening out there.
Although saying that the information (as always these days) tends to find its way to me if I’m supposed to know something, which is nice and makes living a life in flow much easier.
Given all this – I do not remember feeling anything as strong as this week.
Once it was over I was looking forward to feeling a new sense of clarity, purpose and direction. Unfortunately so far I just feel tired and foggy.
I am sure this is ascension symptoms however and the positive effects will be felt soon.
In the mean time I offer some tips to get settled and comfortable with these new vibrations:

1) Ground yourself. Get your bare feet on the earth. Science has now proven this ancient technique to have many benefits.
2) Up your water intake. It’s so important to hydrate and flush out the toxins at this time.
3) Meditation. As always it’s vital to plug into your centre and feel calm. Finding quiet time to still the mind brings so many rewards.
4) Spend time in nature. This is my favourite thing to do- it doesn’t have to be real wilderness- a park or garden will do. Look at the trees and allow their wisdom to be absorbed into you.
5) Smile. This changes the brain chemistry and will always make you feel better even if you don’t feel like it. Keep things light. Do what makes you happy.
