NEET UG 2024 Latest Update: Paper not leaked, Fair Conduct of Examination, Record attendance, Says NTA

The NEET UG 2024 was conducted on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in 557 cities across the country and 14 cities abroad. However, at Girls Higher Secondary Model School, Mandir, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, an incident occurred involving the incorrect distribution of question papers by the Center Superintendent.

Some students who opted for Hindi medium received English question papers, leading to confusion. Before invigilators could rectify the mistake, a few candidates left the examination hall.

The NTA swiftly responded by conducting the exam for the 120 affected candidates from that center on the same day, May 5, 2024, ensuring their academic aspirations weren’t compromised.

The NTA further clarified that this was an isolated incident, and there was no question paper leak. The examination proceeded fairly.

This year, the NEET-UG exam witnessed a historic registration of 23 lakh candidates, surpassing the 20+ lakh registrations seen in NEET-UG 2023. This marks the highest-ever number of candidates participating in any competitive exam in India, as per reports.
