Colloidal Silver Proven to Make Antibiotics a Thousand Times More Effective in Killing Bacteria
For centuries, people are using colloidal silver for fighting infections. Nowadays, scientists are studying it like a powerful solution for the widespread of the bacteria resistant to antibiotics.

Colloidal silver, together with some antibiotics, could kill up to thousand times more bacteria than the antibiotics on their own. The biologists from the Boston and Harward university conducted a study to prove this in 2013. They discovered that the silver in the form of diffused ions could attack the bacterial cells in two fundamental ways. It makes the membrane of the cell more absorbent, and it can interfere with the metabolism of the cell.
James Collins, a biomedical engineer at the University of Boston, stated that these two mechanisms could make the modern antibiotics more successful and effective towards the resisting bacteria.
Furthermore, a study from 2015 discovered that the colloidal silver had proven effective against the MRSA.
