Start Your Day With This 5 Healthy And Delicious Breakfast Recipes

Breakfast is the first thing that provides energy to our body. Consequently, the fact is that the breakfast which we eat should also be delicious. So, get ready for a healthy and delicious breakfast recipe which will kick-start your day.

1. Creamy Oatmeal with Caramelized Bananas

This is the perfect breakfast for rushed mornings. You can take it with you and eat it on public transit or enjoy it when you get to work or school. I love that you can flavor it so many different ways.

If there is such a thing as a superfood, then it’s oatmeal. It can help you with weight control, it improves digestion, regulates cholesterol levels, reduces the risk of diabetes. It even reduces the risk of some types of intestinal cancers.

If you’re an oatmeal lover like me, then you’re in for a real treat


  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 2 cups almond milk (I prefer to make my almond milk at home)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


Add all the ingredients in a cooking pan and mix well. Put the pan on a medium heat and let it simmer for at least 15 minutes until steel cut oats turn soft and creamy. You can also use rolled oats which cut the cooking time to 5 minutes.

Toppings and stir-ins

Stir-ins are the best part; you can use a little bit of vegan butter which adds to the creaminess, some coconut sugar for sweetness, cardamom powder, and yes, even peanut butter.

This is a basic topping (takes about 3 minutes), and it’s the tastiest oatmeal topping I’ve ever had:


  • One banana
  • One tablespoon Coconut shreds
  • Sugar
  • Coconut oil


Take a pan and fry the banana slices and coconut shreds with brown sugar and coconut oil until caramelized. Pop them on top the oatmeal, and you’re ready to go.

2. Oatmeal with a Secret Ingredient

As I said, oats are perfect for the start of the day. If you liked the previous recipe, this one would amaze you. You will prepare it in the evening, and it’s ready for you to take it in the morning. The secret ingredient here is the green tea.


  • 4 cups gluten free rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup chia seeds
  • 4 cups almond milk
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Matcha green tea powder
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract (optional)


Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix them well and put them in a fridge overnight. If the mixture seems too dry in the morning, you can add some more almond or coconut milk.

You can add some protein powder as well and top it with some fresh fruits to taste. The mixture can stay refrigerated up to 3 days.

Since this recipe does not require cooking, it can also be used as a quick snack to keep you satisfied. It’s great after a workout or even before you go to bed. Of course, I do not recommend to go to sleep with a full belly, but if you can’t resist the urge to eat, this recipe is a healthy choice.
