PERFECTION! While I have not yet finished reading, when compared to the Google Memo you’ve done your research. This is very mind opening to me.

Unfortunately I am lacking in quality education (being a 15 year old boy) so I can’t even begin to sort this all out in my head.

I have been willingly indoctrinated by what you may call “YouTube Skepticism” which is generally a broad term for politically centrist, allegedly rational, YouTubers. A lot of what I currently believe is modified from their positions. Their views are typically,

  1. There are two genders
  2. Biological Essentialism is sound
  3. Feminism has become dogmatic and must be stopped/reformed
  4. Progressivism has become dogmatic and must be stopped/reformed
  5. Everyone should be equal under the law; no special rights
  6. Equal opportunity > equal outcome
  7. Hate speech is free speech
  8. The state should not intervene in our social life (excluding crime)

After reading as far as I have I still stand firmly by premises 3-8. I never agreed with 1. As for 2, you have planted a seed of doubt in my mind and I am incredibly thankful for that. It’s so rare I run into powerful arguments like yours.

The reason I’m disclosing this is because I hold truth before most things else. I was wondering how you’d recommend I continue to research this. My critical thinking skills and deductive reasoning aren’t quite up to par with the likes of you, which is why I believe I fell for biological essentialism to begin with.

Is there any way I could look at this stuff with a more critical eye? If so, from there where do I go?

Thank you if you happen to be reading this. ❤
