A Padlock
“I want you to quit your job” he said to her.
She sat on the couch, contemplating. Who knows what’s on her mind. 2 years before my cousin got married, I saw her perfect handwriting written on a postcard and it says ‘2 digits salary’. Doubt that she ever achieved it tho. Haha.
She could’ve easily say no but when it comes to marriage, it is not just about one person but it’s all about agreement between two persons involved in that ‘holy’ bound. So, instead of saying No, she agreed to quit her job and live her life being a daily regular housewife.
Haha. Oh the irony.
If marriage is indeed about agreement, does it ever comes with precaution that you might actually lose what you have? or what you have been dreaming? If it is indeed about agreement, does it always makes one party sacrifice what she/he actually wanted to do? hmmmh what a holy bound can do to you.
little tips:
we never owe anyone ‘that’ much in our life that makes us unwillingly sacrifice our dreams.
(and now, my cousin works from home while her husband works in an multimillion local company but he still has the guts to ask my cousin for money to buy a padlock. lol. )
