ICONS_Story from cafe coffee day
Hello PPL, 👋
Recently I noticed this board, kept in front of Cafe Coffee Day in busy NH544. As a UX designer, I felt this was interesting & to crack details. Here, I have tried to understand the designer’s solution, as well as understand the user’s problems, and how the designer addressed and brought solutions.
- User’s Problem:(Travellers on the road)
As, point of travellers-the user’s problems like
🔴Reading boards at the speed of the vehicle is tough.
🔴Regional languages in boards.
🔴Finding the best spot.
2. Solution: The Icons :
Placing accurate icons, to convey the story(solution) which helps the users to reduce the stress of finding the right spot to stop & reading the board.
✅ Icons, improve the visual interest
✅ Easy to understand and reduce user’s time to take a decision
✅ Everyone can visualize & understand (even kids)
3. Bonus: Colour theory:
🔶 Red color- Increase the visibility from far away
🔶White Icons-Icons on a red background, convey the message neatly & clearly.
Importance of icons:
✔ Icons-Improve visual Interest & grab the user’s attention.
✔ Helping with navigation
✔ Universal
