I won’t get into a whole back and forth but as I read your piece and in essence “heard you out,” I felt it only fair I said my piece. This piece does read as if it were written by someone who came to these conclusions as a teenager and effectively stopped any search to understand the teachings of Christianity or of Christ period. And the response from those who effectively join in without pointing out some of the glaring errors in your assertions regarding the Christian faith or it’s teachings tell me that none have taken the time to thoroughly research and understand the totality of biblical teachings.
It’s easy to sit back and point out perceived fallacies when
a) We’re doing so with incorrect information
B)we aren’t even taking the time to offer credence to our argument through accuracy or reputable sources.
I’ll point this out then le”ave it alone,
1)Hell, was not created for humanity as you stated. Biblically speaking, it was created for Satan and his demons,( the fallen Angels.)
2) “All loving God” does not equate to being a Genie; I created children. I love them more than I ever imagined possible. That doesn’t mean I make their lives perfect, grant them every whim and ensure they never know a struggle. It means I love them enough to teach them as best I can and allow them to make their own choices. Just as Christ does for us. Free Will is a tenet of biblical teaching and none are forced into servitude. That’s love, offering a choice even after suffering crucifixion (among the most horrible deaths) for wrongs you never committed? Not forcing adoration and servitude on humanity? I kind of think that’s pretty fair.
Still, without putting in serious points to support your arguments I can’t see myself taking the time to say more.
We are certainly all entitled to our own opinion, but it does help to have all our information as accurate as possible.
