Best VPNs for streaming

Those who use any streaming program or service (Hulu, BBC, HBO, Amazon and many others) know that a VPN is a valuable software. Why? Well because it helps to bypass those geo-restrictions that the streaming service guys put on countries (who knows why. Well, legal stuff but still). A VPN helps by changing your IP and letting you appear to be based in another country. That’s how you can easily access any content you want.

Not all VPNs are actually good for streaming, and people must choose very carefully. What to look in a VPN when you need it for streaming? Well, two most important thing are speed (you don’t want those shows buffering all the time) and servers.

Your streaming buddies are:

  1. Surfshark VPN
  2. VyprVPN
  3. NordVPN
  4. Astrill

Reasons why these are the best for streaming:

Surfshark

It’s a really new VPN that joined the VPN market only a few months ago and appears as a real threat to the big commercial ones with its fast speeds and knowledge how to bypass geo-restrictions. This VPN is perfect for streaming because its servers are not really known for the streaming guys (this helps to bypass the block) and its good speeds lets you watch whatever you want without buffering. This is especially handy and needed if you want to watch content in HD. This VPN lets you connect to an unlimited number of devices, so you can watch your favorite shows with all your family and on every device.

You can get Surfshark cheaper by clicking this link and getting a 72% discount on 2-year plan:

Or you can apply the discount code ‘sharkdeal2y’ in the payment detail section.

Vypr

This old guy is known as the one who can bypass The Great Firewall of China, this shows that Vypr sure does know how to bypass geo-blocking. It has many servers all over the world and their speeds are pretty good compared to many VPNs. You can definitely trust these guys when you need to watch BBC UK or American HBO.

NordVPN

NordVPN is often recommended as one of the best VPNs for streaming. They sure deserve such praise. They have a lot of servers and put out new ones constantly — this makes them a perfect service for streaming. You can always find the best servers for streaming on their homepage. They have pretty good speeds, so it will be a pleasure to watch your favorite shows.

Astrill

Astrill has servers in over 60 countries and is good for bypassing geo-blocking (same as Vypr, they both know how to fight and bypass China). The speeds are mediocre, sometimes you can encounter speed drops, but then you just need to switch to a faster server. Overall, it’s a pretty good choice for streaming, just a little bit to expensive, but if you value the ability to stream your favorite content, you are good to go.

Conclusion

There are more VPNs that are fit for streaming, but most of them don’t work with as many streaming services as these guys here. These VPNs are what I would recommend, but if you want to do research by yourself, don’t forget two things: servers are really important for streaming, and a fast VPN is a must (do some speed tests if you will).
