The Difference Between “Remote” and “Remote-First”
Paul Farnell

Great piece. Well written and formatted for an easy read, but packed with lots of good thoughts, tips, and practical examples about what remote really looks like.

I worked in a remote-friendly company near Chicago for a year and a half, and I think it can work. We used Sococo for a visual office and collaboration/ video chat tool, which was great, along with Slack, Trello, & other tools. I now live in central Texas and somewhat close to Austin, and am having a hard time finding remote-friendly or semi-remote friendly work, which is surprising to me.
