Open Market, a decentralized marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFT) trading over inter-blockchain communication protocol (IBC) in Cosmos ecosystem and Starname Network, Cosmos-based name system for blockchains, announce collaboration to make Starname’s assets tradeable over IBC.
Starname is a name system that provides a universal name service for wallets and dapps. It enables you to receive crypto-currencies or to log in to blockchain applications in a seamless way. Names in system like this are digital goods that can be traded. Conventional domain names make for a huge market, with some lots worth millions of dollars. Ethereum Name System’s assets have a total trading volume a little over a million dollars, with a highest price domain sold for as much as 100 Ether. A protocol to do the same for blockchain-based name system on Cosmos is in order, and Open Market is one such protocol.
