The teachers of Core to Coeur want to make sure you have everything you need to set up your space, equipment, and angles before your first class on Core to Coeur. Be sure to leave a few minutes before class starts to check off these three simple steps.
1. We need to see your body vertically and horizontally.
The two images below are idea vantage points for your video class. Leave 10 minutes to set up your device beforehand. At the beginning of your first class, your teacher will ensure time to double check everyone’s set up to make sure they can see you. These are the positions your teachers will probably need to see for optimal class taking. Make sure you have a laptop or that your mobile device is on a stand that can easily shift upwards for standing work. We have a few recommendations on device set up in step three below.
2. Internet Connection: Make sure it’s good.
Check your internet connection and make sure you have the appropriate speed for streaming live video. Check your internet on your device and in the room you’ll use (make sure it is in Kpbs). 🗣Troubleshoot tip: If your WIFI isn’t strong, switch to your phone’s 3G or higher network.
💪🏼 Video classes require an upload and download speed of at least 128Kpbs.
💪🏾 High-definition video classes requires an upload and download speed of at least 1.2 megabits per second.
💪🏿 For a group video class, a minimum download speed of 512Kbps and a minimum upload speed of 128Kbps is required.
3. Device + Set Up
Laptops work well for classes, and for HD quality we recommend this webcam and this device tripod stand works for both webcams and phone/tablets (it’s travel size👊🏽). If you’re on a phone or tablet, you’ll look at the top of the screen for notification on your “Class Clock”; it will redirect you to download our video conferencing app “Whereby”. Download the app, and it will allow you to enter in your teacher’s studio to begin your class! For our non tech savvy clients, you may want to have the biggest screen possible.
